Busy Time Ahead

Hey everyone... we begin a busy part of the schedule this weekend. After practice today, we play 5 games in the next week. Here's a look at what's coming up: Sat. 4/28- 4:45 pm vs. SFX Rosa PP # 4 Mon. 4/30- 5:45 pm @ CF Cub South PP # 6 Thurs. 5/3- 5:45 pm @ SBBL- Coburn PP # 6 Sat. 5/5- 4:45 pm @ SFX Solomon PP # 4 Sun. 5/6- 8:45 AM SBBL- Coburn @b DeMattina Field Rest up!

Practice Rained Out- Rescheduled for Tomorrow

Jack and I went over to the park. It was too wet to practice. We'll try to practice tomorrow at 4:30 pm.

Practice is on Thursday Again

Hey all, it looks like we will have to practice on Thursday again. The weekend's rain has muddied the playing fields in the park. We'll keep our fingers crossed for Thursday. Let's meet @ 4:30, in the park. I'll get there a little early to secure a field...I HOPE! Hey...great game on Saturday. What an improvement in just a week! Our game this week is on Saturday, at 4:45, I believe. Check www.ppba.info for the complete schedule. We're in the Cub South division. Our team is HN Bowen.

Hello everyone. We will be practicing on Thursday this week. We will be at one of the fields near the 10th Ave. entrance. I can't give you a field # because I will never know what's available until we arrive.

Uniforms Can Be Picked Up Before the Parade Tomorrow

I will be arriving at the corner of PPW and Windsor Place, in front of Windsor Shoes, @ 8:30 am. That's 1/2 hour BEFORE we are scheduled to leave for the parade. If you did not pick up your uniform today, you should try to get there around 8:30. or so. I hope to see everyone at the parade.

Uniforms are Ready

If you would like to stop by my house tonight, after 6 pm, I will be able to give you your uniform. There are two big boxes, and I'd rather not drag them around anywhere again.
I live at 15 Horace Court. Horace Court is off Sherman Street, between 11th Ave. and Terrace Place. I'm basically around the corner from the Prospect Avenue Key Food.

Uniforms , Uniforms, Uniforms!!!

I just got an e-mail from Tom Larkin stating that uniform pants are in and will be distributed to coaches on Thursday night @ 7 pm. We already have the shirts. Anyone who was at practice on Tuesday already received their shirts, hats and socks. I still owe you pants and belts.

Opening Day Parade is Saturday April 14th

The annual Prospect Park Baseball League opening day parade is a wonderful tradition. This year's parade should be great. We will meet on the corner of Windsor Place and Prospect Park West (9th Ave., for those of you that have been here as long as me)
@ 9 am. We'll walk down to the line up block. FULL UNIFORMS should be worn (see the upcoming post).

Opening Day is THIS Sunday April 15 @ 4:45 pm at DEWEY Jr. HS

Yes, we are playing at Dewey Jr. High School this Sunday @ 4:45 pm, against one of the many St. Francis Xavier teams that we'll be playing against this season. Dewey Jr. High is on 3rd Ave., between 40th and 41st St., in Sunset Park. More info to come about UNIFORMS and possible practice.

Wednesday Practice Moved Up to 4:15 pm

Hey everyone...I know that the 3rd graders @ 154 have a performance tomorrow. I will get to "the tree" at 4:00, instead of the earlier 5:00pm. I hope this helps SOME of us. They will have a little more time to make it to 154 on time. Jack wants to do BOTH. Hope others will. See ya tomorrow.
